Recall of Chocolate Confectionery Items Due to Possible Salmonella Risk
Clasen Quality Chocolate Inc. of Madison, WI, is recalling 4,383,201 pounds of chocolate and confectionery products because of potential Salmonella contamination.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a product recall warning consumers that chocolate confectionery items potentially contaminated with salmonella are currently on sale across the country.
The food poisoning warning concerns products which have been distributed nationwide across nine states originally produced by Wisconsin-based Clasen Quality Chocolate Inc. (CQC), the agency said.
