The FDA is advising parents and caregivers not to buy or feed WanaBana apple cinnamon fruit puree pouches to children because the product may contain elevated levels of lead. Parents and caregivers of toddlers and young children who may have consumed WanaBana apple cinnamon fruit puree pouches should contact their child’s healthcare provider about getting a blood test.

Eagle Produce Recalling Whole Cantaloupe Because of Possible Health Risk

Eagle Produce LLC is initiating a voluntary recall on whole cantaloupe due to a potential risk of Salmonella contamination, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.


The products were distributed between September 5th -16th in California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Washington D.C. and sold in various retail supermarkets.
